- The Wyoming Department of Revenue is offering temporary sales tax and lodging tax licenses for individuals who are interested in selling a product or renting out lodging during the Eclipse week. You can find more information about this application (it’s free) here.
- Places like AirBnB and VRBO are blowing up with Wyoming residents offering up their rooms and homes to guests. These platforms do not automatically collect lodging tax for you. You will still want to apply for your temporary lodging tax license above.
- If you are renting lodging or parking to visitors, make sure to check in with your insurance agent to make sure your policy covers your guests.
- Think about extras, like bottled water, that you could stock at your store for a hot August day.
- Keep a look at for events your communities are holding. All over the state we are seeing community street parties, rodeos and music popping up on Eclipse day. These types of events could be a great place to promote your business to a new audience.
