What is there for kids to do in Wyoming?
Lots of cool stuff…you just have to dig a little. Interested in science or space? The University of Wyoming has several programs for you; one in particular is the Astro Camp for kids 14-18. UW also has a great planetarium. Project Lead the Way is an organization that forms partnerships with public schools to promote pre-engineering courses for 7-12 grade students. SKILLS USA is a national program that works with students and teachers to help kids get started in technical, trade and skilled services.
Are you a kid entrepreneur? Converse Area New Development Organization (CANDO) in Douglas sponsors business camps for kids statewide to help them get started in the business world. The Huge O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY) is a leadership program that motivates youth into making a difference in society. And lastly, the National Federation of Independent Businesses – Young Entrepreneur Foundation offers scholarships ranging from $1000.to $10,000.
