Are you worried your business or personal computer systems are going to be hacked? Do you worry that you may become a victim of Ransomware or other attack? Join this session with Laura Baker with Medicine Bow Technologies to learn how to protect your business and personal computers to keep you from becoming a victim.
Speaker(s): Laura Baker, Director of Sales Operations with Medicine Bow Technologies. Laura graduated from the University of Wyoming with her B.S. in Marketing, then continued on with her Masters in Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
After school, she was recruited to be an Account Manager by Corporate Systems, a Texas risk management software firm where she completed her Associates in Risk Management and worked with the risk management and safety departments for East Coast Fortune 1000 clients. She soon became a Reporting Product Manager and worked on some of the first Oracle data warehouses staged from both mainframes and AS400s.
Wanting to move back to the Front Range, Laura transferred her industry and information systems knowledge to the mental health world where she worked as an Information Systems Business Analyst and Project Manager for one of the cutting edge community mental health centers in the nation, Jefferson Center for Mental Health in Arvada, CO. While there, she designed the first juvenile assessment center (JAC) software product in the nation.
During the tech boom in the late 1990’s, Laura became a Senior Project Manager for IHS Group in Englewood, CO where she worked to develop large website and CD catalogs for fortune 1000 customers.
With social service, a county agency, mental health, and non-profit experience, Laura came to Medicine Bow Technologies truly understanding the customers. She most often uses her risk management background to translate technical speak to business risks for her customers. At Medicine Bow, she worked as a project manager for 2 years and now manages the sales department, the educational outreach programs to promote IT careers throughout the state, and the internship program.
