Entrepreneurs looking to start their own business can learn about everything that is required during an upcoming Start Your Own Business Workshop in Cody. Presented by the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, NWC Center for Training & Development, and Forward Cody, this no-cost training will provide a basic overview of starting a business in our state. The workshop will take place on April 4 from 6-8 pm at the Northwest College Center for Training & Development in Cody, WY.

Explore the pros and cons of owning a business and evaluate the skills and knowledge necessary for success. This workshop will cover numerous topics such as:

  • testing the feasibility of your business idea
  • identifying your target market
  • financing options
  • creating a business plan
  • and more

Presenter: Bruce Morse is the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network Region 2 Director serving the Park, Big Horn, Washakie and Hot Springs counties. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a Minor in Management from Montana State University – Bozeman. He is a graduate of the American Banker’s Association Commercial Lending School in Norman, Oklahoma and is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) through the National Development Council, a Level 1 certified Family Business Advisor, and a GrowthWheel Certified Business Advisor.
