Any business needs to keep financial records and pay taxes. Exactly how to do that is the question many early stage and start-up business ask. Beyond how to keep records, entrepreneurs need to understand what those reports mean to the financial health of their business. Join us on Thursday, March 19 from 11:45 am – 1:00 pm to learn more and get the answers you need. Registration for the program is $15 and includes lunch. The class will take place in the Casper Wyoming SBDC Network office conference room, 300 S. Wolcott, Suite 300.
You will learn about the differences between a bookkeeper, accountant and CPA, what information you need to record in order to maintain a useful accounting system, and how the reports relate to each other and your business. We will also discuss the pros and cons of different accounting system alternatives, such as Excel, QuickBooks, Wave, and Manager.
Presented by: Vincent Mockensturm, CPA, CGMA, principal of Vista Advisory Services, will teach the class. Vince has over 30 years of experience in the accounting field, having worked in leadership roles with several large energy companies. He loves small business, and his passion is to help them succeed, providing advice that links accounting to business actions that result in profits.
