This webinar will discuss an introduction to the skills and knowledge pertinent to situational awareness and identifying pre-incident indicators of violence. We will also discuss the process of sense-making, crisis decision-making, and how having a bias for action saves lives

At the end of this webinar, the learner will have a basic understanding of the principles and concepts of situational awareness and threat detection.  The learner will understand how to apply the principles in the workplace to predict a future violent event and decide on actions to avoid, deter or mitigate the violence

Speaker:Russell Clark is a retired, active-duty US Army Veteran with 10 years of experience as an Instructor and Training coordinator for the Wyoming Homeland Security training program. He has coordinated and instructed state homeland security training for Wyoming first responders including government agencies and private sector response organizations in such subjects as, Site Protection Through Observational Techniques, Terrorism Indicators, Criminal Extremist Groups, and Officer Intelligence as it relates to terrorism.
