Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Workshop

Campbell County area recently received HUBZone Designation from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The HUBZone Program provides federal contracting advantages to qualified HUBZone small businesses. The Federal Government Awards $18 Billion Dollars a year to HUBZone businesses. Learn about the HUBZone competitive advantages in winning federal contracts. ADVANTAGES • Set-Asides – Select contracts can be reserved for HUBZone firms, effectively reducing your pool of competition, while increasing your chances for winning bids. • Sole Source – Select contracts can be reserved for HUBZone firms, effectively reducing your pool of competition, while increasing your chances for winning bids. • Evaluation Preference – Firms are eligible to receive a 10% price evaluation preference in full and open competition procurements. • Federal Prime Contracting Goal – The federal government wants to support HUBZone certified businesses and has set a goal of awarding 3% of all federal prime contract dollars to HUBZone certified firms.
