Wyoming is one of the most popular states in the country for business formation, but registering your business here does not automatically make you eligible for Wyoming APEX Accelerator services.
Your eligibility is based on where your business operates, not where it was incorporated or filed.
What We Mean by “Where You Operate”
Federal program guidelines direct us to serve businesses based on their primary place of management, sometimes called the “nerve center.” This is the physical location where your company’s leadership makes day-to-day decisions and directs operations. It is also the address you are required to use when registering in SAM.gov for federal contracting purposes.
If your management team and physical operations are based outside of Wyoming, you are not eligible for our services, regardless of where your business was legally formed.
Why the Rules Are Drawn This Way
Our funding is tied to a defined geographic region, and we are obligated to direct those resources toward businesses that are physically present in and contributing to the Wyoming economy.
That said, you are not without support. Every state has its own APEX Accelerator, and all centers operate under the same federal standards: the same training, the same tools, and the same expertise in federal contracting. Connecting with your local center is not a downgrade; it is the right fit.
Your local APEX counselor will also bring something we cannot: knowledge of your state’s procurement landscape, regional contracting opportunities, and local agency relationships.
