A Fresh Coat Of Paint

Logo-Goedickes-teal.jpgClaire and Tyrell moved to Casper from Seattle looking for a smaller community to call home. Claire Marlow has yearned to be a business owner and fell in love with Goedicke’s Custom Framing and Art Supply a local business operated for 58 years in downtown Casper, Wyoming. John and Judy Goedicke have owned the family business for 41 years. The Marlow’s purchased the store in 2013 and are adding their personal touch and breathing new life into the store. Goedicke’s provides a unique atmosphere. Be sure to check their store often and watch as changes unfold.

The Marlow’s intentions,  “…refresh all things that are old and to inspire for all things that are new.”

John and Judy Goedicke are mentoring the Marlows’ during the transition.  As Claire immerses herself with painting, arranging and learning custom framing, she wants to create meaningful relationships with her customers. Visit with Claire and Tyrell in the historic Cottman Turner building, West 2nd street, downtown Casper, Wyoming.

Goedickes.jpgLeonard Holler, Wyoming Entrepreneur SBDC regional director, worked with Claire and Tyrell Marlow to help them purchase the local art supply store and custom framing business. Leonard Holler specializes in business valuation and one of the few individuals in Wyoming certified by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).  Holler assisted the Marlow’s by helping them assess the value of the business and by suggesting some negotiating strategies for handling the purchase and an “unknown” inventory value.  Holler helped them understand the bankability of the business as they worked with their lender to structure a business loan for the purchase.

Check out Goedicke’s Facebook page often for classes, new product announcements, special discounts and store events. Goedicke’s isn’t just a framing store; consider Goedicke’s your go-to place for artist’s supplies, student supplies, gifts and conversation. Additionally, they will be opening up a gallery in the store in late summer.
